Director of Business Development - San Francisco
“My family designed and built an off-grid rental house on Block Island, RI in 1991. During the off-season we would work on it, so I grew up power washing solar panels, and working with batteries. As a child, it made perfect sense that buildings should use energy from the sun. This, coupled with tons of time spent playing in nature, instilled a passion for stewardship – which has always played an important role in my career in the built environment, and made AEI a natural home for me.”
Margot, LEED Green Associate, is the Director of Business Development in our San Francisco office, and has been working in business development and marketing in the commercial real estate industry for over 10 years. She is responsible for working with AEI leaders, clients, and industry partners, creating new opportunities for collaboration. She loves building cohesive, creative teams comprised of industry thought leaders to tackle complex projects. Her natural curiosity, integrity, and openness are integral to creating and maintaining lasting relationships in the industry.
Margot's passion for sustainability inspired her to take on a leadership role with the International Living Future Institute (ILFI). As Co-Facilitator for ILFI’s San Francisco Bay Area Collaborative, she has assembled and curated an extensive community of local influencers dedicated to creating a world that is socially just, culturally rich, and ecologically restorative. She also serves on the Urban Land Institute’s Sustainability Committee, and CoreNet NorCal’s Mentorship Committee.
